DJEMBE DRUMMING
I was first introduced to drummin' on holiday in Gambia when I sat with some
locals who were playing a selection of different drums, sipping tea and passing
away the day with conversation, laughter and smiles.
I was offered some tea and joined in the conversation, watching as the
drummers played. Later I was handed a Djembe Drum to try ! It all then
progressed to having a few lessons on holiday. At last I could learn an
instrument which you don't need to plug in, easily transportable,
wonderful tones and a great way also to meet people at drum groups
and events.
I now find myself at Eddie Mann Drum Group, The Ipswich Drum Group,
Riverside Drum Group and enjoyed and experienced a four days event
at Drum Camp.
