Interview with Amanda Robinson and Deborah Butler for Deben Radio CIC.

London Based Just Bounced Record commissioned Virtually Linked Ltd and Amanda Robinson to create a production music video for their single ‘Robot’ by The Real Mr Smith using Second Life ‘Mechinima’ techniques.

Amanda:
Barrister, owner of Amanda Robinson gallery, Amanda Robinson publishing and co-owner of finest solos. Played with photography since aged 4 and has a keen interest in cinematography, listened to Robot and thought that second life would be an ideal medium, where anyone can recreate the images which grace their minds. A lover of any art from - including the written or spoken word - she suggested that virtually linked become involved in the project to coordinate the in world filming.

 

 

 

Debs:
Deborah Butler-Jones’ background is in IT and marketing. Having built a highly successful software house at 23, she went on to become Computer Associates’ Marketing EMEA Analyst Relations. She now works in social media and virtual worlds, co-authoring 'Enterprise Social Media and Collaboration' with Martin Butler and provides consultancy and solutions in this field. Her company, Virtually Linked Limited has developed principal locations in London in Second Life as replicas of the real setting and proof of concept of the organisations' capabilities. Through Virtually Linked, she works for organisations such as The Daily Mail to re-create virtual experiences of real world situations such as Conferences, Fashion Weeks and Chelsea Flower Show as well as some more imaginary scenes such as Robot.
