  • Southwold is a truly Suffolk institution, its heart beats with the rhythm of the sea. It is unique, its visitors come and go, some people want to make it the Hamptons of East Anglia. Leave it alone, it requires no adornment, lipstick and scent it scorns, its beauty comes from its timeless strength.

    I have sat on that beach numerous times, looking into that daring dark sky!
